Hi all, what do you consider to be your community/ies? If so how are you involved? Do you volunteer within them? Do you volunteer at your child/ren's school? In your local Kiwanis or Lions club? GLBT organization? Nationally? Are you out to anyone where you volunteer as a trans man? Do you ever have conversations about politics and various upcoming discriminatory issues on the ballots?

This was discussed last night at a Transgender Harmony meeting in Tempe, AZ and I felt the speaker brought up some great points. Definitly made me think how I can make a difference in people's perceptions just doing the things I'm already doing, but adding in a few more conversations about important issues.

What do you think about this idea? Do you think you can discuss discrimination without outing yourself as trans, or do you think outing yourself is an important part of grass roots activism? Why or why not?

Anyone feel like discussing how their body is holding up these days? Mine's always achey and creaky, but that's more related to my disability than age as I've had that since I was 19. Anyone's body feeling any creakier over prolonged use of T, or do you think it's more an age related thing for you? ( semi related personal commentCollapse )

http://web.mit.edu/hudson/www has some great info on male pattern balding and various options to deal... something I'm hoping not to deal too much with, but have a contingency plan for awesome tats on my head if I end up bald some day since ya never know ;)
